Welcome to the Indian Navy North Pole 2008 website

This site has been developed to keep readers abreast with the latest developments of Indian Naval team as they prepare to take on the next most challenging extreme adventure activities - a Ski traverse to the Geographic North Pole - 90ºNorth.

The team of ten mavericks shall bid adieu to Indian shores on Mar 24th and hope to conclude their journey by 10 Apr 2008. If successful, this team of ten mavericks, hailing from all arms and cadres of the Navy, shall become the First Indian team to have skied to the North Pole. Additionally, three members of the elite submarine arms shall become the First Indians to map all the three poles(Mt Everest, South Pole & North Pole). This expedition would unfurl the flags of India and the Indian Navy at the final frontier of adventure activity that challenges the human spirit of courage and survival.
