Hi all..

Its being a great experience for me to be here at Punta Arenas and getting messages from all my dear friends for successful completion of our Mission i.e. Ski traverse to South Pole.

We have been training hard for it May 05 onwards..It all started with the Physical conditioning of full one month in New Delhi under the professional trainers..Then, it was time to go for actual training on ground and we went to Greenland icecap to start our skiing lessons and went on for expedition in Arctic circle.

Initially it was really hard to ski and pull a sledge along with u all the time. I would rather say it was much different then the mountaineering expeditions which most of the team members were used to. But we really did well in Greenland and got used to the Polar travel..so that makes us professional in this field of Nordic Skiing..Till then we have been training just for the day when we enter the Antarctic region and start our journey to the south pole.. If u really ask me by now I am tired of training and was put off by the news of not leaving on 05th Dec, hopefully will leave on 10th now..

The worst part of expeditions like this is that you don’t get to eat Indian food over here in Punta Arenas.. We did adjust chileno way and started enjoying there local cuisine..
