Brijendra Singh Negi a team member of south pole expedition and presently responsible for physical fitness of team member outside India .This is the time when team is  ready to fly to frozen continent Antarctica and doing final testing of clothing and equipment. Team is training hard physically in chilling mornings of Punta Arenas and trying to gain more knowledge about Antarctica.

Being a team member of such a team which is representing India in front of the world. It seems like a dream to me.

On 23 nov we reached Newyork and stayed for one day there did some sight seeing in this high tech and beautiful city. I did see Statue of Liberty, Empire State building and many other skyscraper of this lovely city. Visit to Manhattan was really a unforgettable moment of my life.

25 Nov we reached Santiago. it is  also beautiful city and capital of Chile. We met ambassador of India in Santiago. we stayed for 5 days in Santiago and visited whole of the town, language is big problem for us at all the places. When we reached here, we realized that we could not talk to anyone because it seems no one knows English here and the most funniest part is when you try to tell them something , they only see your faces and laugh. Hence, we did start learning basics of Spanish like  hi --- hola,  i -- yo , you -- te , how are you - coma esta tu ,  what is your name -- quelastu nombre , come -- vamos, one -- una,     por fever - please, yes -- si,  water - awa

30 Nov we reached Punta Arena southern city of Chile we stayed in hotel Finis Terre   weather is cold enough for us to take out our warm clothes from our kit although summer is on its peak here.  a good place to acclimatize for those who are going for expedition in Antarctica region. we will be staying here till 10 Dec waiting for flight to Antarctica (patriot hill base camp) depending upon weather window.

Now, I have sure of accomplishing our mission of ski traverse to south pole physically as well as mentally. We have millions of good wishes from our country and the world .I am sure that your good wishes will keep our moral up through out the expedition
